Duties:
1. Involved in full cycle of software development from analysis, design, development, integration and testing phases. 2. Work in an agile environment with daily status updates for project planning in periods of Sprints. 3. Involved in various Java/J2EE design patterns including data access object, business delegate, service locator, MVC, transfer object and singleton in the development of multi-tier distributed enterprise applications. 4. Extensively worked on java concepts like multi-threading, exception handling, and collections framework. 5. Hands on experience in the areas of web applications using J2EE like Java, Servlets, JSP, JDBC, JAXRS, web services. 6. Worked on GUI development using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, jQuery, JSON, AJAX, JSP, Servlets, and XML. 7. Worked on fortify security, web inspect scan, Zabbix, CodeQL tools to find out the issues in the code and fixing them. 8. Proactively monitored the memory usage, CPU threads usage of the application and collected the database performance reports using Dynatrace. 9. Handle technical troubleshooting within the environment, including system crashes, slow-downs and data recoveries. 10. Creating the pods and running images in them and creating new Jenkins pipelines for the projects. 11. Use of Logstash for logging and monitoring the application status in case of any error and Kafka to create the real-time data streaming pipelines in this case it gets the logging data from the downstream systems. 12. Worked on Java 8, upgrade and removed most of outdated code from the application and replaced it with Java 8 feature like for each loop, Lambda expression, and streams. 13. Written SQL queries, stored procedures manipulating and addition of new features in the MYSQL & oracle databases. 14. Solve incident and problem requests through service now ticketing system from help desk. 15. Work closely with the business/user’s team in translating technical requirements into application code. 16. work on bug fixing and enhancements on change requests. 17. Attended daily stand-up, meetings with team members across different countries. 18. Used GIT for the version control and repository for the software management. 19. Handling security events that affect VMware systems, applications, information, and users using Splunk. 20. Participate in WAR room discussions and triage meetings to avoid the repeating environment setup and integration related defects. 21. Mentoring other IT employees. Travel/Relocation required as job to be performed at various unanticipated locations throughout the Unites States.
